Skill, reskill, and upskill workers for the rapidly evolving economy
ATLANTA, GA, UNITED STATES, March 4, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — The Smart Community Council USA has announced the national expansion of its Smart Workforce Training Platform, a comprehensive system designed to help communities, employers, and education partners skill, reskill, and upskill workers for the rapidly evolving economy.
Built to strengthen local talent pipelines and support economic development, the platform is now accepting partners for the Smart Workforce Training 2026–2029 Program.
Responding to America’s Changing Workforce
According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, U.S. employment is projected to grow from 170.0 million in 2024 to 175.2 million in 2034, adding 5.2 million jobs. Growth in sectors such as healthcare, technology, and scientific services underscores the urgent need for workforce readiness as automation transforms traditional roles.
“Our platform ensures that every community—large or small—has access to the training needed to compete in a rapidly changing economy,” the Council stated.
A Platform Built for Communities, Employers, and Learners
The Smart Workforce Training Platform delivers:
• Industry-aligned online training
• Upskilling and reskilling pathways for high-growth careers

• Flexible learning for adults, youth, and workers changing careers or re-entering the workforce
Training spans essential and emerging sectors including office skills, healthcare, hospitality, IT, security, financial literacy, agriculture, community safety, AI skills, cybersecurity, skilled trades, and more. Custom learning paths are also available.
“The platform will continue to grow as new foundational and advanced training programs are added,” said Tana Torrano, Smart Community Exchange.
